They are all just too long for me, and too much of the same ploys and antics. It
kinda gets old... and also, I was annoyed how there was no resolution in
InuYasha. What, can't Rumiko Takahashi FINISH something for once!?
Firstly, it depends on the series. In the case of most, I love them as seperate
entities. Though I can safely say I like the Bleach Manga more than the anime.
in the anime they are making Renji into comic relief and that makes me sad.
At least he's still cool in the manga...
Of course. I have university and work to deal with. Kinda need a job to pay for
the anime. But yeah, I would hope most people have lives, because it's kinda lame not to
have one.
Fullmetal Alchemist Poster and a Fullmetal Alchemist Wallscroll. Soon, there
will be a nice Bleach poster if I can afford a proper frame. Also, I have Gundam
Wing figures, 2 Kenshins, and 2 Ed Elrics on my CD Player.
Well, believe it or not it took me a long time to make Stab my Back, there were
a lot of choices I had to make and so on, it's not as easy as it looks. You have
to decide what looks good, and I tried a lot of things before actually deciding
on that finished work and I can understand that maybe it looked a little plain,
but oh well.
I think I'll just do scans from now on, it's too hard to try an please everyone.
Thanks. ^^ I'm just a little frustrated it would seem that the definition of
"good" depends on the person looking like "beauty is in the eye
of the beholder" type thing.
I want to know what makes a wallpaper "worthy" of not being deleted
because I'm obviously doing something wrong. I like making minimalistic
wallpapers without so many brushes and layers. Everyone else makes them like
that I think it looks overdone and cheesy.
I prefer graphic design with a lot of negative space. And that's how I make
things. So who decides what stays and what doesn't? Because someone has to tell
BotChii to delete stuff. If it wasn't the minimalism of my paper, then what was
it? Lack of colours?
This is something that is eating my brain because I see so many wallpapers made
from lowquality images that stay around...
i think that maybe the beginners could use some constructive critique before we
heartlessly delete the walls, however. i agree it's useless to have walls that
suck - but what if we had a section where we could help the beginners get
better?
Quote by biriwilgIt's perfectly fine if
you want to make wallpapers with grayscale images. Have fun. What's not allowed
is submitting grayscale scans, as they are almost uniformly unusable.
^^
why are the scans unusable if that's what i want to make walls from? and they
aren't techinically grayscale scans - i save them in RGB mode. so the color
information is still there.
why are grayscale images "defenitely not good for wallpapers"? i have
seen some beautiful grayscale walls before, and i'm not entirely amused by this
kind of rule; it limits how i can express myself, and well, black and white
grayscale is one of my favorite pallets.
edward. hands down. X3 but only because kenshin (to me) is only HAWT when he's
mad. and since he's not mad nearly enough, then most of the times he is just
cute.

We do not take wallpapers or edited images that are submitted by people other
then those that have done them to the main galleries of our site. If you see a
wallpaper / fan art etc thats yours on the site, under one of the shows we will
always take it down, if you actualy bother to contact us.
If it's a straight scan, the issue is different because you really don't own it
anymore then we do, and while we do not go through and "steal" stuff
from other sites, we accept submissions from anyone willing. who are free to
submit any image they want. If the image is not fanart or a wallpaper, and seems
to be a straight scan / screencap we will generaly put it into the galleries. In
the end all of the official show art is owned by the company producing the show
or its' creator, and not whoever scanned the image.
I put in hours scanning and screencapping things for galleries, and I hold no
delusions to my ownership of the material, and people are more then free to take
everything they find there for their own site / gallery or personal
collection.
People however often tend to confuse the anime gallery at animegalleries.net
with the personal galleries where anyone registered for the site has 10 meg of
space to use to dump pictures into, for their own albums, and we view that more
as a photobucket type service then anything else , and we certanly can't verify
evey image uploaded there.
And lastly, it really isn't best to encourage harrasment of others of this sort,
especialy on a forum such as this.
jeez, just apologize. its not that hard. you should have asked permission, and if
it wasn't you, find out who and make them apologize. someone needs to. true, no
one OWNS a straight scan, but the time it takes to scan it and in nuriko's case
she said that she didn't care about the scans. but you also have some of the
images she edited hosted and you have not given her the credit she deserves
after the painstaking hours it took her to stitch them together.
it really isn't best to take other's work without either giving them proper
credit or asking permission. especially from a site like yours.
Quote by sammomm...i got a lot of those
"this blows" comments. i just wish that the person would also leave
some constructive comments on why they think it blew, and how they think it
could be fixed
MY thoughts exactly! if you're going to say it's bad, then let us know how to
fix it! plz!! i mean, thats the whole point of a critique. i mean, they may be
just words, but when you've spent like 4 hours of your life trying to perfect
this drawing, it really hurts for someone to basically tell you you wasted you
life and you'll never get better. instead, say they wasted their life but they can improve on the next try. ^_^
Quote by Lord_Tensai_IIII think a
lot of the sword's popular opinion comes from the fact that it's uncommon in
this day and age. While I'll readily admit that guns are far more practical for
actual combat (nailing someone from a mile away with a sniper rifle does have its advantages) I'm still going to
side with the sword for the following reasons:
One: Swords require an absolute mastery in order to use them effectively. Even
if you don't have expert marksman ability or are well-trained, you can still use
a standard firearm with reasonable efficiency. Point and shoot. With a sword
however, if you don't know what you’re doing, you’re dead within
a stroke.
Two: It's a lot more personal and risky. If you're wielding a sword,
you’re going to pick your battles a little more carefully than someone
with a gun. Each fight has to mean
something, because there's a good chance you won't walk away from it unscathed.
Old-school samurai never unsheathed their blades unless it was their intent to
kill; I would want to do likewise.
And finally...
Three: Because they're cool. Do you think Kenshin would be as cool if he used a
rifle instead of a reverse-blade? I don't think so.
Long live the Blades.
yes that is very true. i've played with air guns...but thats nothing compared to
the recoil on a shotgun from what i understand. although...weapons are just cool
in general...me? violent? nah...
grave's gun in gungrave is really kick ass. i want one! xD

Anime friends think it's cool and are usually borrowing parts of it. Non anime friends think I'm a freakjob.

There's Cartoon Network and the Anime Network, but I think most of the people I know online just download it from bittorrent. >>

Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, xXxHolic, Tsubasa, Hikaru no Go!, Tenchi Muyo!, Chrno Crusade, DN Angel, Rurouni Kenshin
Gundam Wing and G-Gundam. Oh, I also adore 08th MS Team.
Yeah, especially when I'm at the Japanese Club or chillin' with Puff.

I know I'm in it for the long haul. I've been into anime since I was in 2nd grade with Sailor Moon and I'm now 21. ^^;

oh, i see. well, thanks for answering the question - i just never knew it was that much more troubling to have to sort through them.
